SUPPLEMENTARY DATA Hock, R., B. Marzeion, A., Bliss, R. Giesen, Y. Hirabayashi, M. Huss, V. Radic, A. Slangen (2019). GlacierMIP - A model intercomparison of global-scale glacier mass-balance models and projections. J. Glaciology. -------------------------- The data below include: A) Projected relative mass losses by 2100 in percent of the glacier mass in year 2015 for 19 RGI regions and globally, for four RCPs B) Cumulative glacier mass changes (in mm sea level equivalent (SLE) yr-1) 2015 - 2100 for 19 RGI regions and globally, for four RCPs ========================================================= A) Projected relative mass losses by 2100 in percent of the glacier mass in year 2015 for 19 RGI regions from six glacier models (see Table 1 in main text for references) using four RCP emission scenarios. Numbers for the six glacier models refer to each glacier model's multi-GCM means ± their standard deviation Note that negative numbers mean mass gains. Mean values show two different ways of averaging: "Mean1" refers to the arithmetic mean of all glacier model's' multi-GCM means ± their standard deviation, and "Min1" and "Max2" to the minimum and maximum of these multi-GCM means. These data are visualized in Figure 5 (except for RCP6). "Mean2" refers to the arithmetic mean of all model runs for the same RCP (regardless glacier model or GCM) ± their standard deviation, and "Min2" and "Max2" refer to the minimum and maximum of the sample. These data are visualized in Figure 6 (except for RCP6). For Mean1 all glacier models have the same weight regardless how many GCMs they used, whereas for Mean2 glacier models with more GCM runs will have more weight, thus the the way of averaging affects the results. Region numbers (#) 1-19 refer to the region numbers of the primary regions of the Randolph Glacier Inventory (RGI). Global refers to all 19 RGI regions, Global excl A+G refers to all regions but Antarctica and Greenland periphery and Global excl. A refers to all regions but Antarctic periphery. Note that not all glacier models compute all regions or use all three emission scenarios. Projections for the two Arctic Canada and three High Mountain Asia regions are not available spatially differentiated from SLA2012. Numbers for the six glacier models refer to each glacier model's multi-GCM means ± their standard deviation. Note that negative numbers mean mass gains. Mean values show two different ways of averaging: "Mean1" refers to the arithmetic mean of all glacier model's' multi-GCM means ± their standard deviation, and "Min1" and "Max2" to the minimum and maximum of these multi-GCM means. These data are visualized in Figure 7 (except for RCP6). "Mean2" refers to the arithmetic mean of all model runs for the same RCP (regardless glacier model or GCM) ± their standard deviation, and "Min2" and "Max2" refer to the minimum and maximum of the sample.
